The market for traditional offices is falling, while demand is increasing for virtual offices
The total realised demand for office premises in the first quarter of this year dropped in comparison with the last quarter of 2008 by approximately 18%, according to a report on the market for office premises by the Prague Research Forum (PRF), an association of six leading players on the Prague real estate market.

Office hire: Prague is already the 27th most expensive city in the world
Despite the consequences of the economic crisis, Prague last year ranked 27th in the world in terms of the rent/office rates. For one square metre, the tenants in Prague annually pay an average amount of 439 EUR, which is more than 12 300 CZK. Nevertheless, from the listing of the most expensive office localities in the world, the Czech metropolis was one year previously 11 positions lower at 38th rank.

Companies from all over the Czech Republic are moving their seats to Prague
In 2008, 8 458 entrepreneurs moved their company seats from the regions to Prague. This is about 40 % more than in 2007 and 2006 when about 6 000 subjects did so. In the last three years, the largest group that changed the seat location traditionally consisted of companies from the Central Bohemia Region, which last year numbered 2 500. This is the result of an analysis prepared by Office House based on data from the Financial Directorate of the City of Prague.

New Business Centres
Company OFFICE HOUSE has recently opened two new business centres. The first one is in the capital city of Slovakia – Bratislava. It is located in the very prestigious villa part called Slavín and the newly reconstructed building can be found on Božena Němcová street. There are many advantages of its position – e.g. good accessability to all important city roads or closeness to state administration authorities.
The second business centre is in north-Moravian metropolis Ostrava and it is situated on Výstavní street. As in its fifteen other centres, OFFICE HOUSE offers here the possibility of having a registered office or virtual office, renting meeting room, etc.
